| Our
Hands-On lab is designed to supplement the real-world hands-on installation and
fabrication our students learn and perform on actual vehicles. The workstations
in the lab enable self-guided practice and review of the installation techniques
taught in the shop and classroom.
Students can work with relays, alarms, actuators and meters to fine-tune their
skills or just refresh their knowledge. Additionally, the lab features access to
vehicle databases from many sources including; MAID, Audiovox, Astroflex and
Directed Electronics. The databases contain information on vehicle disassembly,
electrical wiring color codes and component locations which assist in the proper
installation of electrical components in today's more complex vehicles.

Six students can learn and
practice their skills at the same time in the lab. The
hands-on lab enables students to help each other grasp
concepts related to alarms, relays, actuators and meters that
are used in their vehicle installations.
