Our modern, air conditioned state-of-the-art
classrooms include access to multimedia computers, electronic test equipment, a full
reference library, an installation related video library and more. In the
computer lab, our students
have access to ten networked multimedia computers with high-speed internet
access. The computers include programs to supplement the teaching of
box-building, speaker & crossover design and résumé
writing. Additionally the our students have access to a vehicle specification database, word processing, spreadsheet and
presentation software.
All our students are exposed to all the topics
included in the MECP certification exam The subjects taught include Ohm's law,
diodes and transistors, the use of test equipment, wiring & fusing, battery
& alternator configuration, elimination of engine noise, audio systems
design and installation, passive & active crossover design and installation,
loudspeaker parameters, enclosure design & fabrication, car audio
terminology, box design & fabrication, navigation & telematics, vehicle
security, the use and installation of relays, mobile video and more.
