General Information

  • Availability:
    In order to insure maximum educational and hands-on impact, each class size is limited. They are filled on a first come - first served basis.

  • Admission Requirements:
    Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to communicate in English, and the ability to perform basic mathematical and comprehension tasks.

  • Starting Dates:
    Full-time eight-week classes start at the beginning of January, March, May, July, September and November each year. For a complete listing of upcoming classes, please see our School Calendar. Additionally, part-time evening classes are offered twice during the year to prepare students for installer certification. The sixteen-week part-time semester is taught two nights a week and alternating Saturdays. Throughout the school year, the Ritop School also offers advanced workshops in fabrication, mobile multimedia and sales training.

  • Application Deadline:
    Because of our small class sizes, our sessions fill early. We recommend applications be submitted as early as possible prior to the beginning of your desired session. Please call the school at 888/44-RITOP for upcoming class deadlines.

  • Hands-On Training:
    High learning standards are reinforced with 50% of the program devoted to hands-on training.

  • Degrees and Certification:
    Upon completion of the course, all graduates receive a Ritop diploma as well as a completion certificate from the MECP/EIA National Installer Certification Program.

  • Housing:
    If desired, housing is available. The accommodations are either single-occupancy furnished studio type apartments of recent construction including cable TV, linens, kitchenette, utilities, handicap accessibility and security or double-occupancy hotel suites.

  • Job Placement Assistance:
    The results of our job placement assistance program have been outstanding. In our most recent survey, 90% of Ritop graduates were working in the Mobile Electronics industry directly after course completion, with an average starting annual income of $19,500!

  • Tuition:
    Tuition is $4,495 for the entire eight week program. Text books, reference materials, tools, safety equipment and lab fees necessary for completion of the course are additional. Please see our tuition page for up to date pricing. Extracurricular projects are subject to fees and approval.

  • Sallie Mae Career Loans:
    Our students are able to obtain Career Loans through SLM Financial. We will assist students in their loan application process.

  • VA Approval:
    Ritop has been approved for VA benefits through the Veterans Administration. We are glad to offer assistance to prospective students undergoing the process of obtaining tuition assistance through the Veterans Administration.
