The Ritop School
sponsored the trophies at this year’s Installer Challenge Competition
hosted by Select Products in conjunction with MECP at the 2003
International Consumer Electronics Show.
Two teams of MECP
certified installers, Team Audionutz, Steven Head, Joe Moriera, Jason
Cabal, Scott Ward, and Kenny McCullough, and Team Audio Excellence;
Monsour Baker, Abdullah Baker, Charlie Khalbert, Dewayne McCaully, and
Jeff Patterson competed in this grueling 54-hour event. The competition
was based on sound quality, custom installation, overall styling,
teamwork, performance integration, and SPL and was judged by
IASCA-certified judges.
This year’s challenge
had a combined prize package which totaled $8,000.00. The teams walked
away splitting the prizes.
It takes a well trained
installer to be invited to the challenge, and those who are in the field
can aspire to learn as much as possible so they too can look at the
possibility of being invited to the next face-off. The Ritop School
salutes the Installer Challenge teams and the level of expertise that they
have achieved.
The Ritop School for
Mobile Electronics in our pursuit to acknowledge continuing education,
wants to recognize the high level of achievement that an installer has
risen to in order to be selected to participate in the challenge. At the
end of the challenge, trophies were presented to all contestants. The
School would like to acknowledge Chris Cook, Sharon Means, and Jeff Schrum
from MECP and Robert Garza from Select Products for their support.
